Shukura previously served as the Business Development Manager at the International Institute of Rural Reconstruction, where she oversaw the US office and included oversight of fundraising, communications, operations and event management. Her prior experience includes serving as a Development and Special Events Manager at The POINT Community Development Corporation, Weill Cornell Medical College and Partnership with Children. She has also held other fundraising positions at nonprofits citywide and provides consulting services to nonprofit organizations in capacity building, strategic fundraising, and organizational development. Shukura holds a Master's degree in Organizational Leadership from Nyack College and B.A. degree in Government from John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
